- Community Schools
We continue to closely monitor wildfire activity around our community in partnership with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder Office of Emergency Management. Firefighters have done an outstanding job closing the spread of the Cal-Wood and Lefthand Canyon Fires, and we are incredibly appreciative of their hard work and dedication to protecting our communities. We must remain vigilant and prepared for any changes to the fire’s activity, particularly with high winds forecasted for this afternoon through Thursday morning. Out of an abundance of caution, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has requested that we extend our closure of in-person learning at school in Lyons through the end of this week.
Beginning Monday, October 5, we will be implementing a hybrid in-person learning schedule for all students who are not currently enrolled in the LaunchED program. Click here to learn more. Comenzando el lunes 5 de octubre, estaremos implementando un programa de aprendizaje híbrido en persona para todos los estudiantes que no estén inscritos actualmente en el programa LaunchED. I am thrilled to have joined the Centennial team and to have a larger role in the community where I live. It brings a smile to my face when I see students and their families at the library, the grocery store, or walking on one of our many beautiful paths. Relationships are important to me and I feel strongly that partnerships with families and community are one of the bedrocks of a successful school.
Early prevention, for behavior and academics, is one of my core beliefs for impacting student growth and achievement. The sooner we can identify a challenge and put plans in place to address it, the better chance a child has of experiencing success. I aspire to be a leader who fosters innovation, collaboration, and engagement in students and staff through modeling, questioning, and a growth mindset.
My 14+ years of experience as a classroom teacher, an interventionist, and an instructional coach, as well as obtaining my master’s degree in Educational Leadership, have led me to this point in my career. I look forward to partnering with each of you as we strive to make Centennial a place where children, families, and teachers can learn and grow to be their best.
