A Note from Mr. Weide:
Dear Parents/Guardians of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders,
This spring, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be participating in an exciting skateboarding unit presented by instructors from Square State Skate in Boulder.
This unit will focus on:
- Safety and proper equipment: Learning about helmets, pads, and safe riding practices.
- Basic skills: Developing balance, coordination, and fundamental skateboarding techniques.
- Fun and fitness: Incorporating skateboarding into a healthy and active lifestyle.
To ensure student safety and participation, we require an online permission slip for each student.
The link to the permission slip is: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10_P68xAHxDvp0l9BiELiP5s18JH0oTFFVbn3y-XAMFM/viewform?ts=67cb58b4&edit_requested=true
We believe this unit will be a valuable and enjoyable experience for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

We have been celebrating school attendance at Centennial! In addition, 119 students won tickets to the Colorado Rapids and 120 students had Perfect Attendance for the month of February. Way to go!! Our attendance rate is at 94.25% with hopes of meeting 95-96% for the school year. 5th grade won the trophy for highest attendance rate of 94.65% at our Late Start assembly.

PBIS
Did you know that students learn Centennial Teach To’s? This slide deck is used in every classroom and shared with students. These are very clear and consistent expectations for being a husky and following TRACK. You can click here to see them so that you can also review them at home with your child(ren). Please reach out to your child’s teacher or Sarah Coniglio if you have any questions!
When we celebrate the positive behavior students are demonstrating, we see more of these positive choices. We continue to celebrate this at school by giving out TRACKS and Purple PAWSitive Office Referrals. Students are so excited and feel proud when they are recognized for their positive behavior! We also celebrate Attendance, Academics and Citizenship each month at Late Start assemblies.

The Health Office is in need of clothing donations. We are most in need of boys underwear in sizes S/M/L, M and L sweatpants and girls M and L leggings and underwear sizes S/M. Thank you so much!

District STEM and Competitive Robotics News
St. Vrain Valley School District is proud to host the State Robotics Tournaments across three different weekends. This commitment to robotics is unbelievable and we appreciate Trail Ridge Middle School, Altona Middle School, and Erie High School for being the host schools of these tournaments.
We are especially happy to recognize that both the student Robotics Leadership Team and the student Drone Performance Team are working together to create the best possible experience for everyone. The Robotics Leadership Team has worked all season hosting tournaments across the district and now are able to share their expertise at the state tournaments. The Drone Performance Team has created custom drone animations specifically designed to celebrate the world of robotics. Their collaboration and dedication are truly commendable.
As we celebrate our district-wide robotics program, we want to extend a special invitation to all school communities to enjoy these spectacular drone shows. It’s a truly unique and inspiring performance that you won’t want to miss!
