This image shows the Four C's of Innovation; Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Creativity.

The Innovation Lab is a unique space that provides hands-on science, technology, engineering, and community focused learning experiences for all students. The Innovation Lab encourages and prepares students to be effective problem solvers and authentic thinkers by fostering the development of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

Our job is not to prepare our students for something. Our job is to help our students prepare themselves for anything.

Students become designers, makers, engineers, and scientists when using the Design Thinking process in the Innovation Lab. They learn to work through problems collaboratively as they follow the iterative, human-centered problem solving process to design solutions for problems.

Innovation with heart is what Centennial Elementary is all about! We want our students to know that they are capable of making a large impact on our community through their empathy for others, their ideas, and their subsequent actions. Each month, in the Innovation Lab, students participate in philanthropic opportunities through Centennial Cares. Utilizing the Design Thinking process, students identify and design solutions for real problems in our community.
