Centennial’s Health Office is in need of donated clothing items. Please see the list of items below.
Boys:
- medium (size 7/8) – shirts, shorts, pants
Plastic grocery sacks or plastic bags are also greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping out!

Attendance
Our current attendance rate is 94.78%. We are striving for 95% or higher.
3rd and 4th grade have earned an extra recess and 4th grade has the trophy for the highest attendance rate. Every day counts, so be sure to be at school every day unless you are feeling sick. Let’s work together as a school to raise our attendance rate for October!

PBIS
For the month of October, we are focusing on Friendship & Including Others. Students have received shout outs on our daily announcements for demonstrating these characteristics.
Students earned their Class PAWS reward of 20 minutes of Board Game Day for their amazing behavior for September. For October, they are working on goals to earn Pajama Day. Let’s keep this going strong, Huskies!
We continue to celebrate students who are upstanders and going above and beyond with Purple Pawsitive Office Referrals. We have seen students picking up trash at recess, helping to walk their friends up to the health office and encouraging each other outside at recess by cheering each other on.
Way to go, Huskies!

From the School Counselor:
New Student Passports to a World of Learning
Centennial Elementary is excited to introduce a new way to welcome students who join our school community throughout the year! Each new Husky will now receive a New Student Passport to guide them on their journey of building connections and finding a sense of belonging at Centennial.
With their passport in hand, students will “travel” around the school, visiting important places and meeting key staff members. Along the way, they’ll collect stickers from each stop—such as Art, Music, PE, Library, Technology, the school counselor, office staff, and principals.

Once their passport is complete, students will be celebrated with a swag bag full of Centennial gear—a fun way to mark the beginning of their adventure in a new school community.
This program is designed to foster positive connections, ease transitions, and create a welcoming experience for every new student who becomes part of the Centennial family. If you have a new student this year, be sure to ask them about their personal passport to their Centennial World!
Best,
Michelle Lawrence
