Global Day of Play
On Late Start, February 7th, we will have a Day of Play! Our goal is to raise awareness about the necessity of unstructured play. Watch this informative video about Global Day of Play.
Here are some school wide guidelines:
- Students can bring toys from home as long as they are not dangerous or electronic.
- Toys may NOT require batteries or electricity. No devices.
- The only exception on the electronics rule would be a board game that has an electronic timer, an electronics play kit, or similar.
- No toys that simulate weapons.
- Some ideas: board games, dolls, Legos, blocks, trucks, cars, race tracks, playing cards, empty cardboard boxes, markers, jigsaw puzzles, blankets (for forts), social games (charades, Pictionary, etc.)
- We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items so please keep those special items at home.
PLAY! NO SCREENS – NO STRUCTURE – ALL DAY LONG!

Dear Students, Parents, Community Members and Business Partners,
Thank you for your support of the students and teachers in the St. Vrain Valley community.
One of our favorite events of the year is the Tribute to Teachers award celebration sponsored by St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. We love it because it recognizes and honors our outstanding teachers for their excellence in teaching.
Please help by nominating a teacher who you believe exemplifies excellence for a Teacher of the Year Award. Visit St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation’s website at https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/tribute-to-teachers/ for the nomination form. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:45 pm.
Thank you so much!

Salud Dental will be visiting Centennial Elementary on 2/2/2024.
If you would like your child to be seen, please complete the form that was sent home in Friday folders and return to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. If you need a new form please reach out to Nicole at [email protected]. All forms must be received by 1/31/24.
Health Office Request: The Health Office is in need of small boys and medium girls underwear. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
