FunD Run

Parents are encouraged to come and cheer on your child as they run laps for our FunD Run on Tuesday, April 30th. Here is the schedule:

9:15-10:15- Kindergarten and 1st Grade

10:30-11:30- 2nd and 3rd Grade

1:25-1:55- SSN

2:00-3:00- 4th and 5th Grade

Kindergarten Information Night

5th Grade Music Program

Our 5th Grade Music Program is Thursday, May 2nd, at 6:30 at Frederick High School. Students are to arrive at 6:15 and to dress nicely. We look forward to seeing everyone!

STEM NIGHT & STUDENT DESIGN GUILD

Hello and welcome to the 2024 Student Design Guild!   On Tuesday, May 7, the Innovation Center is hosting a STEM Night for all SVVSD families and is geared toward students in preschool – 5th grade, although any age is welcome!  At this event, we will have several great events for families! 

• STEM Stations for children to explore- coding, building, making, creating and more
• The Mobile Lab introducing its newest program- Music Innovation
• Student Design Guild, a place for students to share and showcase their prototypes of solutions for problems they want to solve. See this flier for details, or to participate.
• Rosie, and her new cousin, Chaco, visit from the The Butterfly Pavilion   
• Activities run by IC teachers and high school students in the STEM fields of aeronautics, robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, biosciences, entrepreneurship, video production, and cybersecurity.

We’re searching for students who are risk-takers, thinkers, curious, persistent, and creative to come learn with us!  Problem-solving, computational thinking, coding, robots and more! Wednesday, May 1 – 3:30pm to 6:00pm (only open in evening)

Thursday, May 2 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Friday, May 3 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Monday, May 6 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Tuesday, May 7 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Wednesday, May 8 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Thursday, May 9 – 8:55am to 4:00pm

Friday, May 10 – 8:55am to 1:30pm (book fair closes promptly at 1:30pm for take down)

Each class is given time to shop during their regular library time

PBIS
Our students met their Class PAWS goal for the month of March and earned a Creative Station in their classrooms with art time/innovation time. Our next reward we are working toward for the month of April will be a Class or Grade Level Organized Movement/Sport/Game.
