Dear Parents,
Wow! This year has gone by fast. Field Day will be next Friday, May 17th. So, I’d like to give everybody a “heads up” about what is going on. The times for field day are:
9:30 – 11:15: 3rd grade, 4th grade, Mrs. Dufour’s 2nd grade
1:30 – 3:15: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade (Ms. Colton, Mrs. Talbott)
Your child’s class will be divided into two teams. If he/she is on the green team, they are to wear either a green or black shirt. If he/she is on the grey team, they are to wear either a grey or white shirt. The students will compete against their own classmates in fun and low competitive activities. And of course, they will want to wear their tennis shoes. You are welcome to join us, watch as your child participates, and enjoy the great weather we are going to have on Friday (just being optimistic). Our 5th graders are going to help us run the field day, so don’t worry, we won’t put you to work. I hope to see you there.
Play fair,
Mr. Weide

Family Picnic
Please join us on the last day of school, May 23rd, at 11:30 for our school picnic. Please make sure and bring a sack lunch. Parents will eat lunch with their child outside and then the Firestone Fire Department will come at 12:15, weather depending, to spray down the students. After that, all families are welcome to sign their student out for the rest of the day and start your summer!
We look forward to seeing you!

iPad Refresh
In the fall, August 2024, the district is planning to refresh all student iPads. This means that students will turn in their current iPad and will receive a brand new one. Once your student turns in their iPad, all the information and data stored on it will be erased. Please back up iPads over the summer using the information below to save any important work before school starts again in August.
Backing Up iPads
As with any technology there are circumstances which require the device to be reset or exchanged. Each family is responsible for backing up any content they wish to save on district issued iPads. Make sure to allow ample time to back up data and always check Google Drive to make sure that data has been backed up.
