We have officially raised $36,296 for field trips, teacher and staff grants, and classroom resources!!! Amazing!! A big part of that is YOU getting invested, so way to go!
Thank you Centennial Community for your support!
A Note from Mr. Weide:

Mark your calendar! Monday, May 12th, 2025 is our Centennial Field Day Event!
Dear Parents,
Wow! This year has gone by fast. And Field Day has snuck up on us (Monday, May 12th) even faster. So, I’d like to give everybody a “heads-up” about what is going on.
The times for field day are:
9:30 – 11:15ish for 3rd and 4th grades, and Mrs. Dufour’s grade class.
1:30 – 3:15ish for Kindergarten and 1st grade, Mrs. Talbott’s and Mrs. Colton’s 2nd grade classes, and SSN.
Your child’s class will be divided into three teams. Colors for each team will be determined in their class. The students will compete against their own classmates. And of course, they will want to wear their tennis shoes. You all are welcome to join us, watch as your child participates, and enjoy the great weather we are going to have on Monday (just being optimistic). Our 5th graders are going to help run the field day, so don’t worry, we won’t put you to work. If you would like to help out, please let me know. I hope to see you there.
Play Fair,
Mr. Weide

Elementary iPad Settings
Dear Centennial Families,
We’re excited to share some important updates to your child’s iPad settings as part of our Learning Technology Program (LTP). This program provides rich opportunities for students to investigate, communicate, collaborate, create, model, and explore concepts in authentic contexts. To further support this vision and ensure a safe and consistent learning environment, protect student privacy, and foster responsible use of technology, we’ll be implementing a few key adjustments to the iPad settings.
Here’s a closer look at the updates you can expect:
Universal iPad Background
To create a consistent and unified digital environment across our elementary schools, all student iPads will feature a standard St. Vrain Valley Schools background.
Passcodes Required for Grades 4-5
Beginning next school year, students in 4th and 5th grade will be required to set a passcode on their iPads to help protect personal information. Our school staff will guide students through this process and will be available to assist with passcode resets if needed. Please ensure your child understands the importance of keeping their passcode private.
Our school will also have the ability to implement additional restrictions on a student’s iPad if further support for focus and learning is necessary. We will communicate directly with families if such measures are put in place for their child.
We believe these changes will help foster a safe, focused learning environment, while still encouraging the creativity, exploration, and authentic learning experiences that are at the heart of our Learning Technology Program.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting a safe and enriching learning environment for all our students. If you have any questions about these updates, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Sincerely,
Jenn Byxbe
Principal
