Important iPad Information
Welcome back, we are excited to start another great year here at Centennial. This fall we will be doing an iPad refresh, all students will be exchange their current iPad and receive a new iPad, case, cord and adapter. We have a few important details to share with you for this transition.
-All current student iPads will be erased as soon as they are received, this needs to be done immediately for licensing purposes. If your child has anything personal on their iPad, it will need to be backed up, at home, before August 13. We will be switching out iPads as soon as the school year starts and will not be able to back up iPads due to the sheer volume. Directions for backing up your child’s iPad are detailed below.
-Charging cords and adapters need to come back with your child so they can receive a new cord and adapter.
-iPads DO NOT have a headphone jack, we strongly recommend purchasing Child-Sized Headphones with a USBC connection, as per the school supply list.
-iPad insurance is currently available on your child’s Infinite Campus account, the district highly recommends purchasing this insurance. The cost for the year is $25. The insurance coverage plan is for one academic year only and needs to be renewed annually. The easiest way to pay the $25.00/year fee is online through Infinite Campus. You may also pay the fee with cash or check (made payable to Centennial Elementary School) during regular office hours. iPad insurance fees need to be paid before September 13th.
Coverage is listed below:
What does it cover? What does it NOT cover?
Provided the iPad is in the district-issued case:
● A first incident of accidental damage at no charge.
● A second incident of accidental damage
○ Keyboard case only $25

○ Keyboard case only $50
○ iPad (with or w/o case) $100.

● One incident of loss at a cost of $250. A police report may
be required for loss claims.
● Loss of cables or chargers.
● Replacement of damaged chargers.
● Intentional damage.
● Damage that occurs when the iPad is out of
the district-issued case.
● Loss as a result of willful negligence.
● Any damage beyond the third incident.

Backing Up iPads
As with any technology there are circumstances which require the device to be reset or exchanged. Each family is responsible for backing up any content at home that they wish to save on district issued iPads prior to August 13. Make sure to allow ample time to back up data and always check Google Drive to make sure that data has been backed up.

Code of Conduct for the 2024-2025 school year
Dear Centennial students and families,
Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
Again, thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected].
