Book Fair Times: 8:55am to 4:00pm
Open Late: Wednesday, May 7 from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Each class is given time to shop during their regular library time.

Kindergarten Information Night
Are you, or do you know of someone who is, curious about Kindergarten at Centennial Elementary? Join us on Wednesday, May 7th from 5:30-6:30pm. This event is designed for incoming families to meet our teachers, tour the classrooms, and get a glimpse of what your child’s learning journey will look like this fall.
Attention 5th Grade Students interested in Project Launch 2025 at Coal Ridge
Project Launch students can strengthen their reading and math abilities over the summer in a fun, friendly, camp-like environment. Current 5th grade students can enroll in Project Launch at Coal Ridge. Dates will be June 2nd-June 26th, Mon. – Thurs. from 7:45am – 1:45pm.

Attendance
Did you know that we are at our highest attendance rate that we have been since January and it is 94.41%? This is impressive and we are closer than ever to our 95% goal that will allow us to slime our administrators. We also have 208 students who have 5 or less absences for this school year making them all of our students who have met our Strive for Five Challenge. All students who continue to meet this goal will have an ice cream party on May 21st with Mrs. Byxbe and Mrs. Coniglio. This is an incredible accomplishment!!

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support)
Huskies continue to work on earning Class PAWS to meet their April goals. If they meet it, they will earn a Popcorn Party (Bubble Party for 1st graders). So many students have been celebrating by coming up to visit the office for Purple Pawsitive Office Referrals. Thank you for your support in talking with your child(ren) about T.R.A.C.K. expectations. Let’s keep reaching those goals, Huskies!

STEM Night
Please join us at the Innovation Center on Tuesday, May 6 for our annual STEM Night! We’ll have STEM activities, a Make and Take section, and content specific STEM events in each of our focus areas, which include: Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, Biosciences, Cybersecurity, Digital & Virtual Design, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, and Video Production. In addition, we’ll have larger outdoor STEM opportunities, the Student Design Guild, and Cardboard Carnival Games! Come to play from 4:30-6:30. There’s Still Time to Register for Innovation Center Summer Programming!
From outdoor adventures and creative design to coding, aeronautics, music innovation, and more—the Innovation Center’s summer programming offers something for every interest and age group. Open to students entering grades 1–12, these hands-on experiences spark curiosity, build new skills, and create lasting memories. Attention all 3rd – 8th Graders….join our Youth Summer Volleyball Camp at Frederick High School from June 24th – 26th, 2025. Work on skill development, team building exercises, and game play. IPad Insurance is a LifeSaver
Did you miss the window to pay for your child’s IPad Insurance? It’s not too late! Half Year Insurance is now available. The cost is $12.50 per IPad. You can still enroll in insurance provided that someone at Centennial completes an inspection of the iPad first. If it is damaged, the iPad may not be enrolled in insurance until the fee for the existing damage is paid. Please visit the school office today for IPad inspection and insurance payment. St. Vrain Preschool Expands to Five-Day-A-Week Programs
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, St. Vrain Valley Schools will offer five-day-a-week preschool programs. Families can explore a variety of high-quality preschool options tailored to meet families’ unique needs, including half-day morning and afternoon sessions, with full-day programs available at select locations. Registration for the upcoming school year begins on December 17.

Extend Your Child’s Preschool Experience with Wraparound Pre-K Care
St. Vrain Valley Schools offers licensed Wraparound Pre-K Care for children ages 3 to 5 at six school sites, providing a safe and enriching environment to complement preschool or as a childcare option for younger learners. With activities in STEAM, literacy, and creative play, children will build skills and confidence in a nurturing setting. Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens February 6.
