Giving Tree

In order to help provide a magical holiday experience for some of our families in need of assistance, we are sponsoring a Giving Tree. If you can help donate a new gift for a child, please stop by the office anytime starting November 17th- December 8th for a tag. All gifts will need to be unwrapped and brought to the office by Tuesday December 12th. Thank you for your support!

Book Fair
About the Book Fair eWallet

Give your child a safe, cashless way to shop at the Book Fair. This digital payment option can be used at the in-school Book Fair or online at the Virtual Book Fair, where you’ll discover an expanded selection of over 5,000 products. Plus, every purchase benefits our school!

How It Works:

– Create an account for each child

– Add funds

– Invite family and friends to contribute

– Shop the Book Fair

– Spend unused funds online or fund an eWallet for your next Fair!

After the Fair, remaining eWallet funds are not returned to a credit card but instead, become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future Book Fair. Be sure to sign in with the same email used to create the eWallet.

Please don’t hesitate to email me at colvin_beth@svvsd.org if you have any questions.

Annual Food Drive

Student Council will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Carbon Valley area Wednesday, November 29- Wednesday, December 6.  The items most needed are peanut butter, canned chicken & tuna, canned fruit, and cereal. All items need to be non-perishable.  Students will bring items to their classrooms and our school goal is 2000 items. Attendance Information

Thank you to all students who have been able to Strive for Five with 5 or fewer absences this year. Our attendance rate is 94.69% and we had 214 students with perfect attendance for October.

We continue to strive for a 96% attendance rate at each grade level and as a whole school. Each month this is accomplished, grade levels earn an extra recess and our reward for the whole school will be sliming Dr. Jirik/Mrs. Coniglio. Let’s keep attendance going strong, Huskies!!

PBIS

We continue to celebrate all of the positive behavior at school with classrooms earning Class PAWS. Students earned a Dance Party for our Class PAWS in October and are currently working toward earning a Sports Day for the month of November. Students are thriving when hearing all of the great things they are doing following our TRACK – Trust, Respect, Attitude, Cooperation and Keeping Safe.

Thank you,

Sarah Coniglio
