A Note from the Principal:

Dear Centennial Families,

As the season of Thanksgiving approaches, we want to pause and express our profound gratitude for your partnership and dedication to our school community. We are truly thankful for the trust you place in us every day, and for the countless ways you support your students’ education. Your consistent involvement—whether volunteering your time, offering encouragement at home, or ensuring a positive learning environment—is what makes our school thrive.

Wishing you and your family a safe, restful, and Happy Thanksgiving holiday filled with joy and reflection.

With sincere thanks,

Jenn Byxbe

Read Act Survey

As you may know, the Colorado READ (Reading to Ensure Academic Development) Act provides funding and a framework for improving literacy outcomes for kindergartners through third graders, particularly those with “Significant Reading Deficiencies” (SRDs) who are at risk to not read at grade level by third grade. The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has been working with WestEd and its partners to conduct a legislatively mandated evaluation of the READ Act since March 2020. The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and all responses will be kept confidential.

We are only asking you to complete the survey if your child has ever been identified as having a significant reading deficiency (SRD) and/or has ever been given a READ plan.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this parent survey. We greatly appreciate your time and willingness to share your experience.

Centennial Giving Tree

For those who would like to donate for our 2025 Centennial Giving Tree event, please visit the front office, between Nov 17th – Dec 5th, to select a tag from our giving tree box that describes the item(s) needed/wanted and sign out the tag on our log. Purchase the item(s); we ask that you spend a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $50. Wrap the gift and attach the tag to the gift. Return the gifts to the office no later than December 12th.

If you miss out on getting a tag, gift cards are also a wonderful way to bless these families and can be brought to the front office. Thank you for participating in this important event that blesses families in our Centennial community!
