A Note from the Principal:

A Message of Gratitude from Your Principal

Dear Families,

As the school year comes to an end, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude, pride, and a little bit of heartache. This time of year is always a mix of emotions, but this year is particularly poignant for me. After two incredible years serving as your principal, the time has come for me to say goodbye to this amazing community. It is a truly bittersweet departure.

Over the last two years, I have had the absolute privilege of watching your children grow, learn, and thrive. Together, we have built a culture of kindness, resilience, and academic excellence.Thank you for your unwavering partnership, trust, and dedication to making our school a warm and welcoming place for everyone. Centennial is only as strong as the community that supports it, and this community is nothing short of extraordinary.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future

While change can be difficult, I want to reassure you that this school is in fantastic hands. The leadership team, alongside our deeply dedicated teachers and staff, are fully prepared to continue the wonderful momentum we have built together. The heart and soul of this school remain unchanged, and the future here is incredibly bright.

As we look toward the upcoming school year, we are also thrilled to welcome some wonderful new faces to our team who will undoubtedly bring fresh energy and talent to our community:

  • Justina Carney- Principal
  • Jeff Bernstein- Assistant Principal
  • Welcome Melissa Dufour, Maureen Williams, and Lisa Naccarato- SPED teachers
  • James Elkins- 5th grade teacher
  • Chelsea Hammond- 2nd grade teacher
  • Lizzie O’Neill- ELL/Interventionist teacher

Wishing our outgoing staff members all the very best as they embark on their next journeys as well. We appreciate all they have done for our students, and will miss them!

Wishing You a Wonderful Summer

Before the excitement of August arrives, I hope you all take the time to pause, relax, and recharge. May your summer be filled with sunshine, laughter, and precious time spent with loved ones.

Thank you once again for allowing me to be a part of your lives for the past two years. I will carry the memories made here in my heart forever.

With deepest gratitude and warmest wishes,

Jenn Byxbe

Immunization Information

Dear families of students attending Colorado kindergarten through 12th grade schools for the 2026-27 school year:

This letter includes important information and other resources about Colorado’s immunization requirements to attend school. There’s nothing more important than making sure your child stays healthy and learning all year long. Routine vaccination can prevent the spread of diseases like measles, mumps, varicella (chickenpox), whooping cough, and others, so kids can just be kids. The vast majority of Colorado families choose to protect their children through vaccination.
